Backing up files from a VeraCrypt encrypted partition

Hi,

I get a VSS error 8004230f and it seems that VSS isn’t working on VC encrypted partitions. Is that correct? (Does Crashplan use their own VSS implementation?)

Are you running duplicacy as admin when creating the VSS snapshot?

Try running duplicacy with debug mode: duplicacy -d -log [command]

I remember @towerbr is using VeraCrypt. Do you have any ideas about this?

Yes, I’m using Veracrypt, but not VSS.

I make daily backups of my Veracrypt volumes (dismounted), and works great with fixed size chunks.

One of these Veracrypt volumes is inside a Veracrypt partition (along with other normal files), and the backup works perfectly.

The Windows event log should have more information how why this failed.
