Change Forum Password

How can I change my forum password? I don’t see an option in the account settings. Thanks!

@gchen can you help us here pls?

The login is managed by duplicacy.com. So you’ll need to go to duplicacy.com and click the Login button on the top, then you’ll see the login dialog where you can click the Forgot password link to reset your password.

Thanks! I appreciate the help.

Note that you can also use the  button to show your appreciation. :slightly_smiling_face:

While probably simple to manage, it’s not a great solution. The UX is extremely poor, as there is no way of knowing this if you just hit the forum. Maybe it says somewhere, but I signed up a year ago and cannot remember such details.

Can you not please add some helper text to the Forum Login that hints the user to go to duplicacy.com? Right now you get two options:

  1. Enter the username and password (and get told it was wrong)
  2. … and tick “I do not have an account” (and get told the email is already registered)

This deviates from all known patterns for logins, which always includes some “Reset the password link”. If I had not found and tried a login for the main Duplicacy site, after expending numerous tries using another saved “Duplicacy Forum” entry in 1Password, I would not have gotten in.
