I have a guy who is in another country trying to use Duplicacy. We had it all working when he was in the US but now that he is back home he is getting this:
Duplicacy Error:
The license code 4e8f77… is associated with host bernards-air
And the gui wont come up.
Is this b/c it cannot reach the license server maybe? Can we somehow test this out?
That is because the host name of his machine changed. You can change the host name associated with the name by going to the customer page and clicking the old host name (bernards-air).
How do we determine what his current hostname is then? is it the unix “hostname” command we need to type? This is a MAC.
Run hostname in Terminal and take the non-qualified part of the full host name. For instance, hostname gives mac-mini.BUFFALO on my machine and the host name as recognized by Duplicacy will be mac-mini.
