Delete restored folder fails: "Folder or file open in another program"

I’m just starting to try out Duplicacy to backup from a QNAP NAS. I used the CLI on the NAS to init local storage on an external drive connected to the NAS and backed up three repositories on NAS shares.

I installed Web Edition 1.4.1 on Windows 10 and restored a file to my Downloads folder, which was not the original location of the file. Web Edition restored the file along with all its parent folders. After moving the restored file to Downloads, deleting the restored parent folders fails: “The action can’t be completed because the folder or a file in it is open in another program”. Closing the Web Edition tab doesn’t help, and leaves the duplicacy_web_win_x64_1.4.1.exe task running. Killing this task doesn’t help either. How do I stop Web Edition so that restored folders can be deleted? Is there a way to restore files without including all their parent folders?

If killing the app does not release the file it is not that task that is holding the folder open. It’s likely explorer.

Kill explorer and see if that helps.

Or you can download ProcessExplorer and find out which process is it exactly.

(PS windows is annoying)

I’m not able to reproduce the problem today.
