Duplicacy backup crashed with "ERROR CHUNK_MAKER Failed to read 0 bytes"

A duplicacy backup job stopped with the following error messafe

2018-02-25 11:00:23.367 ERROR CHUNK_MAKER Failed to read 0 bytes: read D:\/christoph/video/camera1/GP017991.MP4: Data error (cyclic redundancy check).

The file in question is close to 4 GB in size and one of 14 similar files in the same folder. It was definitely not in use during the backup.

Is that a problem with my hard drive?

Data error (cyclic redundancy check) is an error returned by the OS, so there is definitely something wrong with your hard drive.
