Duplicacy backup list

Hello,

I just started to use Duplicacy and find it a great tool. I am using the duplicacy backup command to backup a folder to a remote S3 repository.

Having a crontask scheduled to execute every minutes I saw via duplicacy list that 1 new snapshot is produced every minutes in the listing despite no change on the location source files. I suspect these snapshots are empty.

I would like to know if this is the normal behavior for the tool as I was more excepting no snapshot to be created in case of no change to local source files.

Perfectly normal behaviour. The snapshots aren’t ‘empty’ - they just didn’t upload any new data. Each snapshot represents the state of your folder as it was when it was backed up. As older snapshots are pruned (if you choose to prune them), you can restore from any snapshot revision.
