I mean for security reasons. Is it proven that there is no Backdoor.

Hi, duplicacy is only CLI, and requires some experience to set it up.
duplicacy web edition is much easier to use but still requires a little experience.
The best is to test it during the 30-day free trial on non-critical data to get an opinion.

Yes. You can review the source code and read the whitepaper. Duplicacy uses industry standard off-the shelf encryption algorithms.
Are you asking if any independent third party performed a security audit of the source? I don’t think it was done.
