Duplicacy Windows skipping backup entirely when computer was turned off

Hello,

running Duplicacy 2.1.0 on Windows 10 (both GUI with installed service and CLI) I noticed that missed jobs just seem to be skipped.

After missing a backup timeframe and starting up the computer, the Windows event viewer just tells me that the Duplicacy service got started and I can see that the next backup (within the chosen interval) is scheduled - is there no way to have it do the missed backup?

I use duplicacy on my macbook and want to guarantee 1 backup per day. But unfortunately duplicacy does not catch up on missed jobs when the computer was off during the scheduled backup time. If I configure duplicacy to backup at 4am, and the computer is never on at that time, then no backup will ever happen… The correct behavior (which all other backup tools implement) is to perform the backup as soon as the computer is turned on, when any jobs have been missed during the downtime.

I’ll add an option to catch up missed backups via registry settings on Windows and user defaults on macOS.

Any update? Still not running backups when PC isn’t on at the time of the scheduled backup (GUI).
