Email notification

I have a schedule that makes some backups with pre-backup scripts that generate high verbose logs.

When the email is sent, those logs are truncated, so from the email it’s hard to see if there was a failure or not…

Is it possible to:
a) send the logs attached in a file, instead on the mail body?
b) send email only if anything failed?
c) have a short text on the email body as a header of what has failed?
