I can’t seem to change my password under Setting > Passwords > Encryption Password, which I understand is a master password (but separate from the admin password). It keeps saying the old password is invalid even though I’m certain it’s the right one, as I use a password manager.
How do I go about resetting this? I don’t mind losing old data since I just got started, but I want the assurance that my future restores won’t be impacted.
If you think you have the correct master password, you can delete the encryption_data key from ~/.duplicacy-web/duplicacy.json and restart the web GUI which will allow you to set the master password again. But, if the new master password is different from the old one, it won’t be able to decrypt storage credentials (you can see those credentials values are encrypted in duplicacy.json). So you’ll have to remove all storages, and then recreate them with the same names.
