Folder size is aprox 150GB, but storage used on OneDrive is 750GB - Why?

Hi.

I’m brand new to Duplicacy and backup in general. I use Unraid for my server, and I followed Ibracorp’s video to set up my backup with Duplicacy.

I split the backup operations in 3 folders with 3 schedules:

  1. Photos
  2. Media
  3. Server-related backups (file contents, docker image backups, etc.)

The photos and media folders are being backed up fine, and seems to take up a normal amount of storage. But the server-related backup takes up 5 times the storage space on my OneDrive, compared to my unraid folder. This is a folder that have new data and changes every week. Is this the reason? If so, what is a recommended prune setting to keep the size reasonable (for example 300GB, ie. 2 times the original size instead of 5 times?). I tried running prune with the following setup, but the size is still massive: -keep 0:30

Is there any other command / setting I should look at in addition to prune if I want to reduce how much storage my backup uses?

Thank you for any help!

You shall not backup docker images. They are disposable by design, ephemeral, and contents of those is transient in nature. Instead, backup data containers operate on, which resides outside of the containers on the host.

Yes.

Recommendation here is to stop backing up temporary transient data (docker container images), not tuning the backup retention to delete the data that should not have been backed up in the first place.
