On the Backups tab I can remove a backup by hitting X, but the files still remain on the remote. How can I remove that too? I want to completely remove all traces of the backup.
If you want to remove the remote storage completely, just delete the entire storage directory. If you’re using a cloud storage, usually they should have a web interface that allows you to do this.
Hi @gchen, I mean delete all files/chunks/etc for a backup. Not the storage itself. I have multiple backups on 1 storage.
You can delete the subfolder from snapshots folder on the storage corresponding to the name of the snapshot you want to get rid of and then prune with -exhaustive
flag to delete unreferenced chunks and free space.
@saspus Perfect thanks. I set up a scheduler to run backups Mon-Sat, and another scheduler to run a prune job on Sunday.
