I’m envisioning a worse-case scenario where my home server is totally destroyed and all I have left are encrypted Duplicacy backups off-site.
Would I reinstall Duplicacy locally, add the storage the same way as before and it will detect existing backups? Any other steps?

Yes, but you shall test that scenario, to ensure you have all necessary credentials stored somewhere outside that pc.
Perfect. My credentials are very safe and I have other unencrypted backups at a different location in the house also. I think I’m well covered.
