Invalid or expired license error persists after changing hostname on Duplicacy.com license

I am running the web interface to Duplicacy on Ububntu 24.04

I have read the posts on the forum about this error message “Invalid or expired license” but have not been able to solve my problem.

I changed the hostname on my computer and also changed the hostname in my license at Duplicacy.com but am still getting the “Invalid or expired license” error message.

My hostname on the system is 2503Tower
My hostname on the Duplicacy license page is 2503Tower

My hostname previously was 250310-Tower

Do you think that the previous hostname may be cached within the Duplicacy configuration files?

I read some advice to remove the licenses.json file and restart which I did. But that did not work. So, I put the licenses.json file back.

Do you have some other advice for me on how to get my backups working again?

Thank you, Sean Carney

Click on the hostname link in the web ui (it’s probably shows”localhost”) and activate the same license again.

Thank you very much for your reply. I am not finding any hostname link. Do you know where in the web interface I should be looking for this? So far I think I have looked at everything but obviously I am missing something.

OH. I realize that you are talking about activating the license again at duplicacy.com but that is actually something I had already done. And it is listing the correct hostname.

Thank you very much. That is exactly what I was missing. It is working now.
