Manually coping backup to remote server

Sorry this has probably been answered already, I just couldn’t find anything.
My question is, I have a remote server that I backup to using Duplicacy Web. I have physical access to this server. I have started a new backup to it with a new storage location. It is a rather large amount of data and will take a while over internet.
Can I create a another backup location locally to a removable hard drive, copy compatible with the remote location, backup to the removable drive then take it to the remote server and copy it on to the remote storage location and have a complete remote backup?
Would this work to save me a very long over the internet backup?

Yep, absolutely. As long as data is there duplicacy does not care how it got there.
