Move Duplicacy & Licence

Hi,

Can someone let me know how I go about moving duplicacy and the associated licence from my old to new server please (moving my home server to new hardware)? Searching forum I couldnt find an exact answer but something about keeping the hostname?

I want to make sure when I move it over it continues to work and doesnt need to be re-licenced

Thanks,
Dom

If the hostname remains the same, you’ll just need to install Duplicacy on the new server and enter the license activation code (for the web GUI, click the link next to the localhost label on the Backup page).

If the new server has a different hostname, log in to the Licenses page and click the hostname link to enter the new hostname.

great thanks for the quick reply

For the OP of any #support topic: you can mark the post that solved your issue by ticking the :checked: under the post. That of course may include your own post

Unfortunately, this tip does not work for me because I do not have a hostname link on the licence page. There are only the disabled links for Create New Ticket and Renew Existing Licence and the active link Buy New Licences.
Has the process changed?

Has your license expired?

Look in the Host column, hostnames are clickable.

Thank you for the qick answer.
My personal license is valid until end of 2027.
I do not see any host information:

The license is accepted if I change the hostname at the new installation to the older name.
Is there any ReST-Service to update the hostname that I call call?
