Moving a B2 backup to a different folder

When I initially set everything up with duplicacy, I didn’t understand how the deduplication works and ended up backing each device up into a separate folder within a B2 bucket. I’d like to merge them into the same folder now to take advantage of deduplication, but I wasn’t sure of the exact process to do this.

Do I just need to change the storage URL in the config to point to a different folder? Or will that break things because the previous backup data it might be expecting isn’t there?

Unless you created the different storages as copy-compatible, which you probably didn’t, you won’t be able to merge the existing data, but if you want to point all your clients to a different, single storage URL, you can do so. It won’t break anything, but you will have to re-upload all the data to that storage…
