Hello everyone,
I have searched and watched many guide videos, but none of them fully explain
things for someone new to Duplicity, Unraid, and setting up Google Drive.
Basically, I want to backup some of my shares like “Backup” and
“Private-Media,” or even subfolders from within the Backup share.
My first question is how to properly access my Unraid shares inside Duplicity.
I saw one guide where the user simply added /mnt/user/ <–> /backuproot as
“User Data.” I tried this at first, but while I could list my shares under
backuproot, they appeared empty inside the container.
To fix this, I started adding my shares manually. I have one example in the
image where I mount /mnt/user/Backup/ to /data/Backup. Is this the right
approach? Should I be mounting each and every folder this way?
And the second question is regarding the backup setup inside Duplicity. Is
this the correct way to configure the backup?
It seems each backup will land under “snapshot” as its own folder, like this
(I have only started with the Backup folder for now):
Am I doing this correctly? I would appreciate any help and tips on this. I
want to be 100% sure I am not doing it wrong, especially since I cannot see
the individual files to verify what is actually being uploaded.
