Onedrive token with shared

Hey guys, my backups were failing and this was in the logs. This is a shared folder i set up, it used to work. Replaced the token and still the same error. Any ideas? am i supposed to use the token for my Onedrive or from the Onedrive account that is sharing with me?

Running backup command from /cache/localhost/3 to back up /media/ServerBackups

For sure, using the oAuth token from the OneDrive account that’s sharing with you will work. But if I recall correctly, accessing a folder shared with you via a token generated from your own account requires the owner of the shared folder to allow it.

Replacing the token wouldn’t work, this is what fixed it. I deleted the storage in Duplicacy. I then downloaded the token from the shared account and put it in the appdata directory of Duplicacy on Unraid. I then just re-added the storage with the same name. I ran a backup and it was perfect, just copied the newer files that hadn’t been backed up yet, didn’t miss a beat.

Yes, it’s because Microsoft basically thinks that your Unraid box is a proxy user for the owner of the shared account (the oAuth token is a substitute for the account password).

If you own, or are a co-owner, of the shared account, it’ll be fine. But if you aren’t, note that whenever the owner of the account changes/resets their password, all active oAuth tokens are immediately invalidated.

good to know. it is actually an extra 1tb i have from an Office 365 subscription, my main was already full. thanks for your help!
