I’ve configured the backup to run every 1 hours on a daily schedule. Now I’m setting up pruning following the explanation by Goolio: Help how to setup Prune over Web-Gui - #9 by Droolio, but keeping all revisions for a week (instead of a day). I came up with:
-keep 0:720 -keep 30:360 -keep 7:30 -keep 1:7 -a
Translation:
Keep a revision per day for revisions older than 7 day
Keep a revision every week for revisions older than 30 days
Keep a revision every month for revisions older than 1 year
Keep no revisions older than 2 years
If I understand correctly it doesn’t matter if I set backup to 20 minutes or every hour, the first week everything is kept. Since all backups (if any) are kept for at least a week I guess it is pointless to schedule prune more often then once a week? Does it matter if I run check before or after the prune? I’ve configured both to run once a week now.
This backup contains mostly documents that can change (but not often) during business hours. Does this schedule make any sence this way?
