I am using the GUI version, is encryption on by default when i backup to an encrypted Onedrive? Also, if i have an Unraid server at my house and a Freenas server at my parents house, could i backup using local storage? there are connected with a VPN. Any help would be appreciated.
No, the encryption is by default off unless you enter a storage password when configuring the storage.
Both unraid and freenas should support ssh by default so the sftp backend should work.
I have an encrypted onedrive, I assume you aren’t talking about that. also I have a master password for duplicacy, not that either? if not, any way to change or do I have to start over and re upload? I just want my files encrypted during transport and at rest.
about the backup to server, am I better to backup locally then rsync across to the other machine?
