Restoring after OS installation

Tried to find this in the HowTo. Maybe it worths having a new Howto there explaining this, for sure I am not the only one facing this

After an OS reinstallation I have downloaded duplicacy web.
I have in an external usb /mnt/backups/mylaptop folder containing the snapshots, chunks folders and config file.
Guess I need the config file intact in order to be able to restore whatever is in it) and I realized that if I create new ‘Storage’ in /mnt/backups/my-new-folder-backup then duplicacy created inside that folder a new config, snapshots and chunks folders.

What is the proper way to setup a new ‘Storage’ in duplicacy that uses the existing /mnt/backups/mylaptop folder so I can restore a backup from it?

Thanks in advance

When configuring storage in the new instance of duplciacy web point to exsisting location /mnt/backups/mylaptop. If config file exists there it will be adopted. If it does not – new one will be created.

Thank you @saspus

I thought it might overwrite it
