Samba copy compatability

Hello,

im currently in the process of setting up duplicacy with the gui version and cant find the option to make my samba storages copy compatible.
Im sure i saw that option when using sftp, but no luck with samba.

My goal is to backup to my local backup storage, then copy that from the backup storage to my remote storage.

I tried searching the forum, but i think i cant find any fitting topic.
Im sorry,if there is already a topic to my question.

Thank you very much for your answers.

I don’t remember if there is a way to specify the additional arguments to init command in the webui.
I would init storage with CLI and then add it in webgui

Hi, it is in web ui. (v1.8.3 for me)

First set SAMBA share informations :

And after just check “Copy-compatible with” box and select your source storage :

Thank you!

So for anyone in the future: the problem was, that the storage has already been configured before with the same name and it seems like duplicacy knew that and loaded the old config in the folder on the target server.

I deleted the folder on the target server and set it up fresh. Its working now.

Great. This is behavior by design though-out. Configuring new storage either creates a new one, if config file is not present, or adopts the existing one if it is. This way you can configure the same storage in multiple Duplicacy instances.
