People often use the forum for feature requests, just categorizing their post as “feature.” The other option is a PR on GitHub, specifying the feature request.

I’m just a duplicacy user, but my own observation is that the developer’s focus seems to be on functionality. The web-based GUI hasn’t changed much in many years.

I was a little surprised that there was no reaction from the development team for paid software.

This is a community forum though. If you have a commercial license you can open support request directly. (I can’t comment on the quality of support there — I don’t have a commercial license)

But monetization method is not relevant. When you buy a license for software you are paying to use said software in its current form, not for any potential future features.

That said, you can implement what you need yourself using duplicacy’s pre- and post- scripting functionality. You can grep logs, compose summaries, send mail, post http requests, etc, and do anything you need in the custom script, perfectly tailored to your requirements, without the need to wait for the features that may never be added.
