Web + CLI via Cron jobs

I’m starting to play around with the Web frontend on a Linux server. My objective for the moment is to continue to use the CLI for all backup processes which are initiated via Cron jobs. Is there any inherent conflict between the Web frontend and CLI jobs that are started separately?

Thanks. I assume that in order to get up-to-date dashboard stats, I’ll need to schedule periodic check jobs via the web client, yes?
