Web edition - some official FAQ type thing please

Hi!

I saw the announcement about Web Edition and also have noticed some extremely long threads about it before. But sadly there seems to be no official FAQ about it anywhere.

Is it a replacement for GUI version?
Should I be migrating from GUI to Web Edition? If so then how exactly?
Will GUI and Web Edition co-exist and get equal amounts of development time or is Web Edition the future and GUI development will stop at some point?

I think the intention is to deprecate GUI version, and move on with Web only, but i’m not sure when that will happen. This is for @gchen to decide.

Yes, that is the plan. I’ll make one last version (likely 2.2.0) for the native GUI. After that, there will be only updates for bug fixes.
