Is there any plan to make the web ui open source? I’m interested in doing a re-write in Elm with the intention of making it harder to introduce regressions.
There isn’t a plan to release the web ui source in the near feature, unless we switch to a different licensing model.

Would happily pay for “Duplicacy: Offline Edition”. One that does not require Internet connectivity.
The current software does not require internet connectivity at the moment! Obviously you can’t backup to cloud storage but you can make local backups without internet.
Web-UI version requires Internet connectivity to do “license checks” which in turn enables backup functionality. Command-line is indeed unlimited in this regard.

Wasn’t aware that was the case, consider me onboard with off-line.
In the coming release I’ll make all css/js files available locally so the web GUI will not be affected without internet. However, the license activation will remain the same, at least for this release.
